On June 12, Jacob Vargis and Marianne Savarese set out in separate kayaks to watch the sunset on the Chesapeake Bay. An unexpected storm overturned their evening, separated them, and brought them into a struggle for survival.
The book follows their experiences through the storm, the reunion and rescue, and the questions that remained afterward.
